It is unfortunate to note that different societies will at times prosecute those people that in accordance to their point of view, share different set of beliefs. It is therefore the duty of human, civil and immigrant rights to see to it that people appreciate each other’s differences and are thereby able to tolerate one another.
It is especially the less advantaged that face the wrath of human rights violations, such as immigrants who may not be having the rights and benefits of citizens. This section of the society could very easily be taken advantage of if not properly protected.
The society has defined human rights over the years, whereby some basics have been laid down as to how people should be treated. Since the global declaration of human rights in the year 1948, there has been many human rights organizations that have relentlessly fought for all human beings globally.
This has significantly brought about accountability to societies and governments that are under constant scrutiny from these human rights organizations, which in turn ensures that they stay focused in enhancing these rights.
One cannot talk about human rights and fail to mention the Lacey and larking Frontera Fund, which has been instrumental to the fight against the violation of Immigrants, civil and human rights. It is particularly immigrants who could point to the great works of this organization that has ensured their rights are adhered to over the years.
The leaders and founders of this foundation, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin have shown great passion for the fight of people’s freedoms and rights. They have dedicated their funds to empowering immigrants’ rights establishments in Arizona, which has had a great impact to the wellbeing of immigrants.
Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin started the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund from the settlement they got from a case where they had sued Arpaio, Dennis Wilenchik and Thomas for violation of their First Amendment Rights.
They therefore put aside these funds to be able to assist the Hispanic people of Phoenix, but they also offered support for groups that supported the basic human, civil and immigrant rights throughout Arizona.
Their great work is instrumental to ensuring that people coexist peacefully together, without paying attention to the differences that each person has. The world needs to applaud the contribution of Jim and Michael who continue to advocate for peoples basic rights.
